CAOPA organised on 11 December 2021 in Saly, Senegal, a workshop to share and reflect on financing adapted to the activities of women in the artisanal fishing sector.
The aims of this activity were to:
- Share the initiatives carried out by women’s organisations for the financing of their activities;
To analyse and capitalise on the good practices of the initiatives carried out;
Identify the positive aspects of other modes of financing of operators in progress proposed to the actors of artisanal fisheries that can be taken into account in the financing scheme. - The one-day workshop brought together some 40 artisanal fisheries professionals from Senegal and The Gambia, finance experts, etc.
